CBPE is delighted to announce its investment in HealthNet Homecare (“HealthNet”), alongside the founder and CEO, Kerry Hinton. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
HealthNet was founded in 2015 and has grown to become one of the largest providers of clinical homecare services in the UK. Clinical homecare involves the dispensing and delivery of medications and associated nursing care to patients in their homes. HealthNet employs over 750 people and serves the needs of 165,000 patients with chronic health conditions and rare & orphan diseases. The business also provides services for patients receiving IVF treatment through its fertility division, Stork Fertility.
CBPE will be investing alongside the current management team, led by Kerry Hinton, who will continue in his role as CEO. The investment will support HealthNet’s growth plans and allow it to further improve on its position as one of the leading, patient centric, clinical homecare businesses in the UK.
CBPE’s investment in HealthNet continues its strong track record of investing in the UK healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Notable previous investments have included: Rodericks (dentistry), SpaMedica (cataracts surgery), Optima (occupational health), Medica (teleradiology), Rosemont (oral liquid medicines), and Idis (unlicensed medicines & managed access programmes).
The current CBPE healthcare portfolio consists of: Veincentre (vascular surgery), Simbec Orion (clinical CRO), and Blatchford (prosthetics and orthotics).
We are very excited to be announcing this investment from CBPE and welcoming them as our partner. CBPE have an excellent track record in helping healthcare companies grow. They have demonstrated a strong understanding of our market and an appreciation that, for our patients, the importance of service quality is second to none. We are very proud of the organisation we have built and the positive impact we make to the individuals, families, and healthcare providers we serve. I am confident that CBPE’s investment will allow us to continue to provide an increasingly valuable service to the growing pool of homecare patients across the UK.
HealthNet meets all the criteria we look for in a successful healthcare investment. We are delighted to be backing Kerry and the wider team to continue to build on the business’s achievements to date. Clinical homecare is an essential service for over 600,000 patients in the UK who rely on it to manage their health conditions. It is a key enabler of the NHS’s strategic priority of reducing pressures on the hospital setting and bringing care closer to the community. It allows access and facilitates adherence to complex secondary care medications which can be difficult to store, transport, and administer. We expect the demand for these services will continue to grow. CBPE’s investment will give the business the resources to continue to provide the highest levels of service to the NHS, to the pharmaceutical industry, and, most importantly, to patients themselves.
CBPE’s investment in HealthNet was led by Rupert Parker and Anand Jain, with support from Max O’Connell and Andrew New. Rupert Parker and Anand Jain will join the HealthNet board.
