CBPE is pleased to announce an evolution in its leadership team structure.
Sean Dinnen, who co-led the buyout and formation of CBPE and has been Managing Partner since 2012, will transition to the newly created full-time role of Chairman and Chief Investment Officer. Ian Moore will become CBPE’s Managing Partner. Ian joined CBPE in 2011 from Hg and has led a number of the firm’s successful investments in recent years.
Since becoming an independent business 15 years ago, CBPE has raised over £1.4bn across three funds. Over that period, it has invested in 34 companies of which 19 have been realised generating an average 3.3x multiple of capital.
CBPE is currently investing from its Fund X, which closed at the hard cap of £561m in November 2020 and has invested in eight platform investments to date.
It has been a pleasure to build and lead CBPE as an independent business in a period where the firm has gone from strength to strength. I am looking forward to my new role and to continuing my partnership with Ian and the wider team as we move into our next phase of investment and growth.
I am delighted to step into the role of Managing Partner and am excited by the opportunity to build on the success the firm has had under the leadership of Sean. With the support of the committed and experienced team alongside me, I feel CBPE is in a strong position to continue delivering for all stakeholders and I look forward to building further on our great culture at CBPE.
This team evolution follows a successful twelve months for the firm, including two new platform investments, two exits for Fund IX and significant M&A activity across the portfolio.
